As one of the earliest MBA programs in China, Tsinghua MBA program has been leading the development of China's MBA programs since its establishment in 1991 and is the most influential MBA program in the country, Tsinghua MBA, deeply rooted in Tsinghua University and with the advantages of the comprehensiveness of the university, is committed to cultivating future leaders with integrated management abilities.

In 2018, Tsinghua MBA Program was accredited A+ in the first China University Professional-Degree Rankings in Master of Business Administration Program. In the 2024 QS global MBA programs ranking, Tsinghua SEM ranks 29th worldwide and No.1 in China. The program has been listed consecutively at the top of Research and Ranking on Chinese MBA programs by Manager magazine since 2004.

In 2022, Tsinghua SEM jointly launched Technology Innovation MBA Program with Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School. In 2023, Tsinghua SEM launched Industrial Innovation MBA Program and started its 2024 cohort admission.
