When sad news came that a heavy earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 took place in Wenchuan area of Sichuan province, the whole China seemed to have entered the Wenchuan time. Without any sign in advance, this disaster drew an urgent attention of every Chinese people any time. In front of the natural disaster, “fast” is the most important word. Since May 12^th, students of Tsinghua SEM have taken rapid actions to organize everyone to donate the money and blood for the miserable area. Although staying in Beijing, a city thousands of miles away from Wenchuan, students of Tsinghua MBA are closely linked themselves with the stricken people. Many students stated, “What we can do now is to donate money and blood for the disaster areas as soon as possible, making our meager contribution for the people there”. As more and more MBA students participated in the activities, the total number of donations continues to grow. The scene of donation was quite touching. By the 5 pm of May 15^th, Tsinghua MBA students have donated 160687.05 RMB and 300 dollars in all. 

Students said, although they could not go to the stricken areas to save the lives of those dying, they could help them by constant supplies of materials, blood and money. In this way, can we offer a warm heart for the people of disaster areas, and help them rebuild their homes. Facing the disaster, Tsinghua SEM united together firmly, showing a strong unification and strong corporate social responsibility of our students. Meanwhile, a group of Tsinghua MBA alumni, with the representatives of SI Zefu and LUN Chunfang, respectively the chairman of Dongfang Electrical Machinery Group and the vice minister of the Ministry of Railways, are fighting in important managing positions against the disaster and putting Tsinghua’s spirit of “Action speaks louder than words” into practice.

Aiding the stricken areas, Tsinghua SEM is taking action, so is Tsinghua MBA. Nothing to fear Wenchuan, and nothing to fear China.
