My first impression of Tsinghua by Yu Ka Man (Candidate for Tsinghua IMBA 2011)
Jul 12, 2020

My name is Karmen Yu and I came from Hong Kong. This is officially my first week in Beijing being a Tsinghua IMBA student. To be a member of this most prominent university in China is a big honor. Everything here is new and exciting. I am happy to go through a set of new challenges on the way ahead.

My first impression towards Tsinghua is: The campus is so huge! On my very first day at school, I had a good time cycling around the buildings and gardens. When passing by Tsinghua and walking on the bridges over rivers that are full of lotus leaves, it really amazed me how beautiful Tsinghua is. People here are very nice and friendly. Whenever I couldn’t find my way out, students and staffs offered their help with no hesitation. This really makes us, the new comers, feel warm and comfortable. I am so glad that I have this opportunity to experience life at Tsinghua University in the coming years.
