2009.09.11 2009 Tsinghua MBA Opening Ceremony Held

420 students have joined in the family of Tsinghua MBA this fall semester as the 2009 Tsinghua MBA Program Opening Ceremony was held on September 5, 2009. SEM's Dean Qian Yingyi, Associate Dean Yang Bin, Associate Dean Xia Donglin, Associate Dean Zhu Yan, Associate Dean Zhao Dongqing, Assistant Dean Gao Jian and Director of Tsingua MBA Center Gao Xudong attended the ceremony.

 


Tsinghua SEM has registered 420 new MBA students this year, including 360 from Chinese mainland, five from Hong Kong-Taiwan Region, and 55 international students from 16 countries. With average age 29.3, students have six years business experience on average, and 32% of the participants are female. Among the international students registered this semester, 36% of them are from North America, 18% of them are from Europe and 42% of them are from Asia.

The new students will begin their study life at Tsinghua with the 2009 MBA Orientation which takes place during September 12-20. The one-week orientation will include various activities such as outdoor expansion, role playing, scene simulation, case studies and other experience-based training; it will provide participants opportunities from which they can systemically get knowledge of the basic skills required by being a professional manager, enjoy Tsinghua MBA’s culture, and improve their communication skills and commercial awareness as well.
