On the afternoon of March 19, 2010, Stephen Green, Group Chairman of HSBC, gave a speech at Tsinghua SEM. The topic of his talk was “Good Value: Reflections on Money, Morality and an Uncertain World.”
With 26 years of work in HSBC and more than 30-year experience in banking, Stephen Green elaborated on the origins of financial crisis, governmental revival projects in the post-crisis era as well as the increasing importance of China and other emerging market. In the speech, he also introduced his new book Good Value.
After the speech, Professor LI Jinliang of SEM held a discussion with Stephen Green regarding finance, future economic trends and globalization. There was also a Q & A session with the audience at SEM
