Stuart L. Hart, Samuel C. Johnson Chair in Sustainable Global Enterprise and Professor of Management at Cornell University's Johnson School of Management, was invited to be a Guest Professor of Tsinghua University. He received the letter of professorship from SEM’s Associate Dean CHEN Guoqing in December 2010.

Professor Hart is also Founder and President of Enterprise for a Sustainable World. He is one of the world’s top authorities on the implications of environment and poverty for business strategy. He has published over 70 papers and authored or edited seven books with over 5,000 Google Scholar citations in all.

Upon the professorship conferring ceremony, Professor Hart delivered a speech named “Sustainable Prosperity through Green Leap Strategy”. According to him, China is at a stage signified by increasing urbanization, where the issue of green leap is of crucial importance, and in fact a large number of enterprises in China have the ability to apply key clean technologies.

After the speech, Professor Hart also discussed with the audience about topics including governmental influence in green leap, green leap strategies for traditional industries in China, and social entrepreneurship service.
