Associate Dean CHEN Guoqing Serves as PIM Asia & Asia Pacific Chair
Jul 12, 2020

On the 37th annual conference of Partnership in International Management (PIM), Associate Dean of SEM CHEN Guoqing was selected as Chair from Asia & Asia Pacific, a region newly created in PIM’s geographical structure.

PIM originates from an international student exchange organization formed in 1973 under the initiation of NYU Stern and HEC Paris. Currently, it was composed of 55 member business schools all around the world, four on the Chinese mainland. Tsinghua SEM became a formal member of PIM in 2005.

The Asia & Asia-Pacific region was newly created on the 2010 annual conference in recognition of the increasingly important role of Asia and Asia-Pacific areas. It is part of PIM’s attempt to interpret the world structure in a more comprehensive manner.

On this year’s conference, Associate Dean CHEN Guoqing delivered a speech named “Challenges and Moves in Chinese Business Schools” during a deans’ forum.

We share the PIM value for academic exchanges and appreciate the mutual ties with partner schools,” said CHEN Guoqing in a statement addressing his appointment, “It is notable that, as an example of Chinese business schools, Tsinghua SEM has progressed its internationalization in terms of student exchange partner schools from just a couple in 2001 to over 90 nowadays.”
