A two-hour discussion on student development took place at Tsinghua SEM with ZHU Yunlai, President and CEO of China International Capital Corporation (CICC), as the keynote speaker.

Dean QIAN Yingyi joined the discussion with ZHU Yunlai. The talk was mainly structured in line with three developmental phases in college students’ life: the meaning of college life on personal and social levels, students’ career outlook and professional capabilities, as well as the possible ways to deal with conflicts between life reality and students’ ideals after graduation.

 

ZHU Yunlai shared his opinions on above topics with the audience, advising them to see college life with a proper mindset, to carefully plan life and career development, to actively learn and adjust oneself to the environment. He also said, students should pay special attention to the establishment of a systematic knowledge framework and the development of individual abilities.

After the themed talk, ZHU Yunlai answered over twenty questions from the audience, topics including college life planning, social adaptation, frustration management, corporate demand for talents and others.
