SEM's Dean Professor QIAN Yingyi, Assistant Dean Professor MAO Bo, Director of the Academic Affairs Office Professor ZHU Yujie and Professor ZHU Tao of the Department of Management Science and Engineering, visited Qinghai University in October, exchanging ideas with the partner university’s administrative team on SEM’s continuing support for the College of Finance and Economics of Qinghai University.

The two parties reviewed achievements in past work. Along the development of both schools, SEM is now collaborating, instead of solely supporting Qinghai University, and the focus of collaboration has turned from undergraduate education to graduate education and platform development.

As part of the collaborative scheme, Professor ZHU Tao took a temporary post in the College of Finance and Economics of Qinghai University as a member of the Party Committee and Associate Dean.

Professor ZHU Tao is a member of the eleventh “Ph. D. Service Group” under the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. Committed to assisting the development of the West and other less developed regions, the Group selects Ph. D.s from central government units, enterprises and institutions in Beijing and other provinces, and sends them on service in various local posts for a year.

From December 3-10, Professor ZHU Tao researched on the conditions of the three functional departments and seven academic departments of the College of Finance and Economics of Qinghai University, and discussed with the University’s administrative members about his findings.
