From January 27^th Jan, to February 4th, a Tsinghua team, led by Professor ZHU Hengyuan, visited Stanford Graduate School of Business. The program was the second year of the STEP (the Stanford -Tsinghua Exchange Program), which includes a one week full schedule of business, social and academic activities.

During the visit to the beautiful Stanford campus in Palo Alto, California, Tsinghua STEP Team were able to immerse themselves in the whole Stanford GSB experience. Tsinghua STEP team mingled amongst GSB students in their regular classes and at their school social events.  Every day, Stanford GSB hosted a China-related special speaker series in which prominent business figures in the Silicon Valley spent their lunch hour giving fascinating presentations.

The Tsinghua team also had the chance to visit world-class companies such as Google, Yahoo, Ideo Design, Accel VC, Williams Sonoma, Levi Strauss, and Facebook, and enjoyed interesting speeches and Q&A sessions with their management teams.

                                   
The group toured the Stanford campuses and San Francisco, trekked around Alcatraz Prison, and visited wine vineyards around Napa Valley---the home of Champaign in the US. The Stanford GSB team is to visit Tsinghua at the end of March; the Tsinghua SEM team is working hard to create just as wonderful an experience for Stanford GSB team!
