Tsinghua SEM Initiates Student Ambassador Program
Jul 12, 2020

When either applying to Tsinghua University’s IMBA program or already having been accepted to the program, there are often a lot of questions that prospective students have regarding both the IMBA program and China. Common questions include the academic quality of the MBA program as well as what it is like socially being a foreigner in China.

Although students can read the website and reviews of Tsinghua University, current students can be a vital resource during or following the application process.  With already a 25% international student body, the IMBA program is gearing up for further internationalization as MBA applicants look to come to China to pursue their business education.

To meet the needs of prospective international students, the school has initiated a Student Ambassador Program staffed by eight first-year IMBA students.  The Tsinghua IMBA Student Ambassadors are a select group of students who are dedicated to the promotion of Tsinghua’s School of Economics and Management.  These students serve as ambassadors from the current student body to prospective students of the IMBA program. Prospective applicants will be able to direct their inquiries to the current ambassadors via email.

This year’s IMBA Student Ambassadors are Eduardo Nieto del Rio (Mexico), Elijah Degen (USA), Imamura Yuichi (Japan), Charles Aust Laporte (Canada), Vivian Wu (China), Sabrina Chang (Canada/Taiwan), Yoon Seung Oh (Korea) and Jessica Jiang (China).
