This semester, Tsinghua has sent two students to Thunderbird and is currently hosting one Thunderbird MBA student. This is the first year that students from Tsinghua University have been allowed to do an exchange at Thunderbird University in the United States. Second Year MBA student Simone Chen was one of the first Tsinghua students to participate in the Thunderbird exchange.

For the Thunderbird program, participating in an exchange program satisfies the Thunderbird Global Experience, which requires that a student have at least one study-abroad internship outside their home country. This year's exchange student is Ryan Fong, a native of Honolulu, Hawaii.
