On October 24, Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook and the youngest Advisory Board member of the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, delivered a lecture in Chinese to SEM students. This was the second time that Zuckerberg gave a lecture in Chinese to Tsinghua students, and according to the school’s Dean QIAN Yingyi, Zuckerberg’s Chinese proficiency has improved tremendously, given his tight schedule as the CEO of the one of the world’s most valuable companies. Zuckerberg oriented his lecture with three stories of why he started a company: narratives of having a mission, of being attentive, and of looking forward.
