While Sue, a 2011 IMBA, walked into the west gym in Tsinghua, she was immediately blown away by the scene. Team uniforms were hung one by one at the auditorium level around the entire gym. "I was here to celebrate the founding of the Tsinghua MBA Basketball Team. The whole event is absolutely amazing!" Sue couldn't hide her excitement.

To make the founding ceremony successful, team leader Leo Zeng have put in a lot of his thoughts. He carefully arranged the scene inside of the west gym, and also invited the MBA Basketball Team from Peking University to join the ceremony.

Jason Cui, number 3 on the team, graduated from University of South California and was a basketball enthusiast since born.The Tsinghua MBA Basketball Team consists of players came from Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, U.S.A, Britain, Canada, etc. All their cultures, experiences and backgrounds are different, from engineers to lawyers, from Gold-collars to entrepreneurs.While they are all gathering here, they speak a unique language – The love of basketball!

The founding ceremony is brief but creative, and is making strong impression to all the guests of the remarkable organization skills of our Tsinghua MBA students. When each and every one of the Tsinghua MBA Basketball Team players took the picture with his hanging uniforms and eventually laid hands on the team number that belongs to him solely, nobody could hold back the sense of pride and excitement. Through this basketball team that was initiated, organized and established all by the Tsinghua 2011 MBA students, all the teammates wish to build up a stage for playing, communicating, and bonding, now and beyond!

Other than competing in the Beijing University MBA Basketball Tournament, our basketball team arranges weekly practices, internal or external training games and friendly matches. No matter you are a star player or just a rookie, you will find your chance to participate. Team leader Leo Zeng emphasized that: "Promoting nationwide health and fitness through campus sports activities is one of the reason we initiated our team!"

The Tsinghua University west gym will be the permanent home court for our Tsinghua MBA Basketball Team as well as the main location of the entire Beijing University MBA Basketball Tournament. With all Tsinghua Basketball team members' affords and active responding from other MBA teams in Beijing, the tournament will officially launch at the Tsinghua west gym in middle November!
