2011 is approaching the end and for MBA Education Center of School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, it is a year of commemoration and harvest. The following 3 aspects of Tsinghua MBA has played the leadership in Chinese MBA education:

Firstly, in 2008 at the 100 anniversary of MBA education in China, School of Economics and Management implemented MBA curriculum reform in the first place. The first group of graduates after such an implementation has graduated this July, herewith Tsinghua MBA curricula have finished a complete education cycle. This is the first case in China. At present, more and more education schools in China are implementing MBA curriculum reform.

Secondly, on the basis of curriculum reform, Tsinghua MBA started the recruitment reform in 2010. Examination of comprehensive breeding and accomplishment became recruitment standards. Besides, Tsinghua was the first university in China who implemented the conditional admission with the requirement of passing the national exam. Students of grade 2011 were the first group of students after the recruitment reform and the beneficiaries of such a reform. Their excellent performance after enrollment proved the fruits and effects of this reform.

Thirdly, on May 21, 2011, School of Economics and Management hosted the commemoration conference of the 20th Anniversary of MBA in Tsinghua and China. The school dean Mr. Qian Yingyi put forward 3 key elements of future MBA education in China, i.e. leadership, entrepreneurship and experience study, which composed a farsighted theory proposed by the school based on the past 20 years of MBA education, especially the reform of MBA curriculum for the past several years. This theory was highly praised by the faculties of other MBA colleges who attended the meeting. From management to leadership, from management knowledge to entrepreneurship, from learning from books to experience study, these mark a leap of MBA education and will bring a new journey for it. These 3 elements represent the overall development trend of MBA education in China and they are also the common elements of global MBA education.
