Tsinghua MBA team got the 2nd prize in the final of 2010-2011 National “Huawei” Contest and got 30,000 RMB “innovation bonus”. The host Shanghai Jiaotong University was rewarded the champion. Nankai University, Wuhan University and Pecking University got the 3rd prize.
This contest was named after the vanture capital institution Huawei International Investment Corporation and hosted by Shanghai Jiaotong University. After the initial round of competition, 13 MBA entrepreneurship teams were selected to participate the final at the end of November in Antai College of Economics & Management of Shanghai Jiaotong University. All these teams came from top universities: Tsinghua University, CEIBS, Pecking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, Wuhan University, Nankai University, Renmin University, Xiamen University, Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Sichuan University and Xi’an Jiaotong University. They offered to all attendees a mind banquet concentrating on Chinese MBA students’ passion of entrepreneurship and the educational achievements of universities.
Tsinghua MBA Rewarded Team
These contest teams selected after the initial competition mainly consisted of 2nd year on-campus MBA students or part-time students, except for Tsinghua University whose team was composed of 1st year full-time students. During the competition, every team tried to demonstrate to both judges and the audience a group of increasingly mature entrepreneurship plans and programs with sufficient confidence, careful conception and close cooperation. The entrepreneurship plans in the final involved multiple domains such as restaurant ordering, web innovation, electronic business, vocational training and industry service, fully displaying the mien of modern students in top business schools of China.

In the final that took place in the Speech Hall of Antai College of Economics & Management of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tsinghua team was the 5th team appearing on the stage with the program named “Happy-ordering Intellective Ordering System” and guided by dean assistant Prof. Gao Jian, director of Marketing Dept. Prof. Zhao Ping and Mr. Zhu Hengyuan from Technical Economy Dept. of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. This system tried to constitute a comprehensive solution through customized ordering terminal, centralized server, rear-kitchen platform and added-value services to solve the front-rear platform management problems in the actual operation process of intermediate and high-level food&beverage companies and to establish a systematic program that would benefit both companies and customers. The team leader Mr. Ye Songhe had a PPT display and delivered a speech. After a concise analysis of contents such as marketing strategy, sales and profit mode, financial analysis and financing regarding this project, the team represented by Mr. Gao Xiumiao, Ms. Shi Zijin and Mr. Han Xuezhi used the last 15 minutes for Q&A to answer questions from judges such as how to manage the differentiated competition for this project and the financial expectation. The performance of the whole team got high-level appraisal from judges. Mr. Long Daoling, the president of Shanghai Yunmei Web-tech Co., Ltd. made his comments, saying that “Happy-ordering Intellective Ordering System” was very practical and feasible.
In this contest for top MBA colleges in China, students of Tsinghua MBA Full-time Classes displayed the charms of Tsinghua University, improved the teamwork and laid a sound and practical foundation for future career life after graduation.
