Pencil, rubber and red scarf; textbook, playground and elastic……Will these things remind you of your childhood? Do you still remember the abecedarian who taught you the spelling and the primary schoolmates who were eager to beat you in answering arithmetical questions? On March 22 of 2012, the “Love Teaching Support Club” of MBA2011P2 Class of Tsinghua SEM was fortunate to go back to a primary school and had an “intimate contact” with children. Although we only spent half a day to teach six periods of lessons, we were deeply moved by the passion, positive attitude and innocence of children and we enjoyed a baptism of our hearts during the process of teaching.

  Gongcun Primary School as a branch of Practice and Knowledge Campus School was located outside the western 5^th ring of Beijing. It was a school for children of non-local labors in Beijing. Because of capital shortage, the school hired only 1 sports teacher and 2 English teachers for more than 900 students and always relied on social assistance to maintain the daily operation. With Sunshine Club of Tsinghua SEM taking the lead and deputy monitress Danfeng’s organization with all efforts, commonweal commissioners Mr. Cheng Xiang and Mr. Li Heng of 2011 P2 Class launched this teaching activity. Since the teaching had to take place on work days, it posed much challenge on students occupied with learning, working and living. Through multiple-party coordination and joint efforts, finally we gathered 12 classmates who took leave from their companies and devoted themselves to love contribution.

   “Since the teaching time is so short, it would be better to teach the children good ideas rather than knowledge!” Although the preparation time for the teaching activity is limited, students of MBA 2011 P2 Class happened to follow such a principle altogether. Mr. Qu, Mr. Chen Fan and Ms. Huang Fang taught the lessons “Mysterious Universe”, “Appreciation of Mona Lisa” and “Three Days to See”. Mr. Sun, Ms. Li Jing and Danfeng designed “Good Habits of Life”, “History of Mobile Phones” and “English” for 4^th grade children. Several assistant teachers such as Mr. Ding, Xiaoxue, Guolong, Ms. Shao Chan and Mr. Deng tried their best to activate the atmosphere and maintain the order. They caught moments of beautiful memories by photos: children with curiosity and passion; sounds of surprise and questions falling and rising……

   4 o’clock in the afternoon was close to class dismissal time. We left the classroom and gathered on the school playground, feeling excited and melancholy. We had no idea who would provide teaching support next time or if these children would learn and grow up happily as we wished……We thank the children for giving us such a nice experience of teaching and we appeal to more MBA students of Tsinghua SEM and entrepreneurs to focus on these children in such kind of schools. If you see their eyes and feel their talents, you will be prone to pay a little time and energy to make possible contribution to their grow-up.
