On March 20 of 2012, Tsinghua MBA MBA Alumni Association held 2012 Alumni Association and the donation ceremony of schoolmate Mr. Wang Jiwu in Sunshine Hall of Tsinghua Technology Park. The dean of Tsinghua SEM as well as the director-general of MBA MBA Alumni Association Mr. Qian Yingyi and secretary-general of Tsinghua MBA Alumni Association Mr. Guo Liang attended the conference and delivered speeches.

    Mr. Wang Jiwu, MBA schoolmate (1997) of Tsinghua SEM, deputy director-general of MBA  Alumni Association and president of China Private Ventures Ltd., donated 1 million RMB for the launch expenditure of MBA Alumni Association and the construction of regular places for schoolmates’ activities. Mr. Long Dawei, deputy managing director of MBA Alumni Association hosted the donation ceremony. The director-general of the Council Mr. Qain Yingyi signed the donation agreement on behalf of MBA Alumni Association and rewarded Mr. Wang Jiwu with the donation certificate. For recent years, Mr. Wang Jiwu has donated more than 10 million RMB in accumulation to Tsinghua University.

    The conference voted to approve the new Articles of Association of Tsinghua MBA  Alumni Association and reviewed, discussed and approved the supplement of 40 new directors of the Council. Mr. Qian Yingyi, Mr. Guo Liang and Mr. Long Dawei granted Certificates of Honor to supplemented directors. After the supplementation, the total number of directors reached 92, covering each grade and every type of classes from 1991 to 2007 and involving most districts and industries where schoolmates were concentrated. International schoolmates also participated as directors in the Council.

    Mr. Guo Liang, secretary-general of Tsinghua Alumni Association delivered a speech. He said the speciality of Tsinghua was to strengthen and to enlarge, uniting schoolmates and making public platforms as well as to refine and to detail with the common objective. Connecting different Tsinghua Schoolmates Organizations will help all the people involved to benefit on the stage of Tsinghua University as a whole. Besides, he made introduction of characteristics of schoolmate works in North American universities.

    Mr. Qian Yingyi, the dean of Tsinghua SEM as well as the director-general of MBA Alumni Association delivered a speech. Mr. Qian was recently elected as a member of Currency Policy Commission of The People's Bank of China (PBC). He appraised in a positive way the works of MBA Schoolmates Council for the past 8 months and extended gratitude to schoolmates such as Mr. Wang Jiwu for the financial support they offered to Tsinghua SEM in demand and emergency. He made an introduction of status quo of Tsinghua SEM to schoolmates attending the conference. He emphasized that to be elected as a director meant both honor and responsibilities. Directors were required to take the initiative and to be creative. Mr Qian also made a wish that MBA Alumni Association could fulfill the tasks well in the year 2012.  He called on everybody to work in cooperation and collaboration with mutual efforts to welcome the 30^th anniversary of Tsinghua SEM and to try hard for a brighter future of this institute.

    Commissioned by the dean assistant Mr. Gao Jian, the administrative deputy director of MBA Education Center Ms. Mao Donghui made a report entitled “Thematic Report of Tsinghua MBA Entrepreneurship”, introduced an envision involving a new measure and a new activity to support and help the entrepreneurship development of students and schoolmates. 

    The conference also organized a seminar focusing on schoolmate works. More than 80 people including persons-in-charge of Tsinghua MBA Alumni Association, Tsinghua President Office, Tsinghua MBA Union and Foundations, schoolmates and distinguished guests related to Tsinghua SEM, MBA schoolmates and representatives of faculties and students attended the conference.
