The annual Tsinghua MBA New Year Gala provided a platform for Tsinghua MBA students to show their talents as well as their cooperative spirit. Although the students had to spend time on assignments and examinations, they still invested a lot of time and efforts to prepare the Gala show, which was filled with interesting programs such as Aircraft Carrier Style, Gangnam Style, Emperor’s Bride-Show and Michael Jackson’s thriller dance. The hilarious drama showed by MBA 2012P4, Celebrities’ Exam Day, tells the anecdotes of Cleopatra, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, the Smurfs and Superman when they applied for Tsinghua MBA.

Huang Yijing(MBA 2012P4) said,” many people were worried that the complicated performance which requires good coordination of sound and lighting system may not be well-delivered on stage. However, we were determined to face the challenge – we wanted every audience to enjoy a well-prepared program and every performer to be treated as a big star. We only had limited time to rehearse the show. Everyone tried their best to make every rehearsal an effective and efficient one. Our cooperation and cohesive effort paid off. I feel very motivated to work in such a lovely team.”
The kids of staffs from Tsinghua MBA Programs and MBA students brought the audience a special “Baby Fashion Show”. This show is dedicated to the MBA students’ families, who have provided tremendous support for the students during their studies. The lovely performance of the adorable kids lit up the auditorium with cheers and laughter.

The grand finale of the night was a musical “Party Forever” by students from MBA 2012P2. They mimicked Michael Jackson’s thriller zombie dance to mock people’s fear of the world coming to an end. The show pushed the gala to a climax.
Chief director of the Gala, Liang Jing (MBA 2012F2), said that there are many highlights and interesting programs of the show, which all made it difficult to bring every detail under control and well-coordinated. Since the founding of the organizing committee, the committee members met every week to discuss the programs and other details. During those meetings, the passionate discussion inspired one another to come out with creative ideas. In the two months’ preparation for the Gala, the only pity for Liang Jing is that she didn’t spend much time with her newly born baby.

He also brought his kid to the show, which inspired the kid and left a very good impression. He also called upon the alumni to contribute their resources to help with the development of Mingxin School. (Office of International Affairs, MBA Programs)
