On Nov.16, 2008, 34 Tsinghua MBA students, co-organized by Tsinghua MBA Sunshine Love Association and Culture Development Committee of MBA Student Association, came to Beijing Qizhi Special Education School located in Shunyi District to visit special children who study there.

   Guided by teachers in Qizhi Special Education School, MBA students first visited the campus to have a basic understanding of the school history and facilities, which helped to prepare them for the coming communication with these children. During the classroom activities, MBA students carried out one-to-one communications with children, drawing, doing origami and playing instruments together. MBA students also offered gifts of scarves, candies and dolls for children. Children there performed chorus piece of the Grateful Heart and catwalk too. In return, MBA students sang a song of Tomorrow Will Be Better for children.

In the following outdoor activities, Tsinghua MBA students accompanied children to play all kinds of entertainment equipments and games like relay race and so on. During the nearly four-hour activities, students have already established a close relationship with these children and found it was hard to say goodbye. Before MBA students’ departure, President Zhang of Qizhi School, who came out of a meeting just now, arrived to introduce these children’s grown-up experiences and expressed great attitude for students’ care for these disadvantaged minorities. Listening to President Zhang’s speech, students all fully realized the significance of social responsibility.   

Some students who participated in this activity also took part in the previous Children’s Day Visiting. The majority of them are freshmen of MBA students, who demonstrated a strong sense of social responsibility. Even for some who had already attended such activities, they also experienced a new feeling and were inspired by this very activity.

    Though this visiting activity has come to an end, the Tsinghua MBA Trip of Sunny Love has just started. In the future, Tsinghua MBA students will concern about these disadvantaged minorities and our world, bravely taking up social responsibilities. There are more things that Tsinghua MBA would do for society and we still have a long way to go.
