Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources
and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China announced the list of 444
experts who were approved to get the 2016 Special Government Allowances of the
State Council. CHEN Guoquan, Cheung Kong Scholar Professor at Tsinghua
University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), and other 18
scholars from Tsinghua University are on the list.
Professor CHEN Guoquan
Professor CHEN Guoquan has studied and did
research in several leading business schools in the world such as Judge
Institute of Management Studies in Cambridge University, MIT Sloan School of
Management and Harvard Business School. From 2003 to 2004, he was a Fulbright
Visiting Research Scholar in MIT Sloan School of Management.
The main research areas of Professor CHEN
Guoquan include organizational learning, learning organization, team learning,
learning team, individual learning, learning leader, leadership, team
management and so on. He has developed related concepts, models, methods,
assessment tools and implementation systems for the above areas. He has
published over 80 papers and several books at home and abroad. He teaches
organizational behavior, leadership development, leadership and team management
for graduate, EMBA, MBA, and Executive Education students.
In 2001, he was elected to the “Top 100 in
Beijing Social Sciences in New Century”. In 2003, he was awarded the
“Outstanding Young Professor Academic Award of Tsinghua University”. In 2004,
he was elected to the “New Century Outstanding Scholar Support Plan” by Chinese
Ministry of Education. In 2006, he achieved “National Distinguished Youth
Science Foundation Project” sponsored by Natural Science Foundation of China.
In 2011, he was awarded “Cheung Kong Scholar Professorship”. In 2013, he was
named “Fudan Management Excellence Award”. In 2014, he was awarded the title of
“National Expert with Remarkable Contributions”. In 2014, 2015 and 2016, he entered
the list of “Elsevier Most Cited Chinese Researchers” continuously.
Special Government Allowances of the State
Council has been implemented since 1990, which shows the concern and care of
Chinese government for professional and technical personnel. It is a
significant strategy for talent development in China. All finalists have made
significant contributions and outstanding performance in their own areas.
