International Journal of Innovation Studies
(“IJIS”) starts publication since March 2017 (ISSN: 2096-2487; CN: 10-1440/G3)
in English, as sponsored by Science Press and undertaken by the Tsinghua
University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) and the Research
Center for Technological Innovation, Tsinghua University. IJIS is an
international, interdisciplinary and peer-reviewed open access English journal,
about which the first issue was published online this March, and it has been
listed in the program for enhancing international influence of scientific and
technological periodicals by the China Association for Science and Technology
(CAST). It seeks to advance the theoretical and managerial knowledge of
innovation. It aims to provide a high-end platform for innovation researchers
to generate new and exciting findings on the basics of innovation for human
wellbeing.

Professor CHEN Jin from the Department of
Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy of Tsinghua SEM, Director of the
Research Center for Technological Innovation, Tsinghua University, acts as
Editor-in-Chief for IJIS. Professor CHEN has long been dedicated to the
research into technological innovation management and the studies on policies
of science and technology, and has engaged in in-depth studies on independent
innovation, open innovation, total innovation, collaborative innovation and
other associated theoretical paradigms. A leading researcher in independent and
collaborative innovation, he is also editor-in-chief or associate editor to a
number of renowned international journals.
The entire editorial board and the advisory
group comprise top scholars and experts from China and overseas who all play an
active role in the forefront of innovation studies, of which 31 come from Asian
countries and regions including China, Hong Kong and Japan, 10 from the United
States and Canada, and 18 from Europe including the United Kingdom,
Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Denmark, etc.
This journal will be focusing on latest
research findings that are innovative, high-level and of great scientific
significance in terms of basic theory and applied research in innovation
studies. It summarizes major research programs in the field of innovation
studies, key scientific research projects, representative achievements of key
research projects and research progresses in a systematic way, evaluates on
situations of ongoing researches and studies, and proposes on the direction for
current and future studies. Also concentrating on the innovation studies in a
multidisciplinary context, IJIS will cover and publish multidisciplinary
research findings involving economics, management, sociology, philosophy,
natural science, engineering science, psychology, public policy etc., and call
for unique observation for innovation and multidisciplinary research method,
with the overall objective to discover the law of innovation for the human
being.
